Description

Cidomlite is a lightweight construction material made from a group of minerals similar to mica (aluminium–iron–magnesium silicates). These minerals contain trapped water layers and expand when heated, making the material very light and porous. In simple words: Cidomlite = Lightweight, heat-resistant filling and insulation material Key properties: Very low density (lightweight) Good thermal insulation (resists heat transfer) Fire-resistant/incombustible Sound absorbing High absorption capacity (can hold water/liquids) Uses of Cidomlite Cidomlite is widely used in construction and industrial applications: 1. Lightweight Filling Material Used in sunken slab filling (bathrooms, roofs, etc.) Reduces load on building structure 2. Thermal Insulation Used in roofs and walls to reduce heat transfer Helps keep interiors cooler 3. Fire Protection Used in fireproofing materials and furnace linings Can withstand very high temperatures 4. Sound Insulation Acts as a sound-deadening material in buildings 5. Industrial Uses Used as: Absorbent for liquids and gases Carrier for chemicals and fertilizers Soil conditioner in agriculture Benefits of Cidomlite 1. Reduces Structural Load Being lightweight, it reduces stress on slabs and beams 2. Excellent Heat Insulation Keeps buildings cool → energy savings 3. Fire Resistant Does not burn → improves building safety 4. Sound Reduction Minimizes external noise 5. Moisture Absorption Absorbs water without damage → useful in sunken areas 6. Durable & Long-lasting Chemically stable and does not decay easily 7. Eco-friendly Natural mineral-based material Cidomlite Details : Per bag Size : 15 kg Per Bag Coverage : 1.75 CFD Thickness : 1mm to 2mm
